Activities at our dairy
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to learning about organic farming and cheese making.
As we are a working farm please note that you need to book your activities in advance to ensure we have staff available to show you around. See our activities below and contact us to book here.
We are open from 07:30-17:00 on weekdays and 07:30-11:00 on weekends.
Cheese Making Tour
Cost: R155 per adult, R90 per child under 16
Description: Experience highlights of the cheese-making process which is hand-made over a fire in the original Swiss methods. Approximately 1 hour, at 10h00 only, and includes egg-collecting for the children.
Cheese Platter
Cost: R110 per platter
Description: Light meal for two including delicious seasonal cheese available, offerings from our garden, and more.
We have limited beverages available.
Please ask the staff on arrival
Feeding Calves
Cost: R25 per person
Description: Bottle-feed our calves with the help of our experienced milkers.
Occurs at 15H00.
Hand Milking
Cost: R50 per person
Description: Try your hand at hand-milking a cow with the help of our experienced milkers.
Milking occurs at 14H00.
Egg Collecting
Cost: R25 per person
Description: Join our egg-collecting staff member to collect eggs from the laying hens. Egg-collecting occurs at 11H00.
Eggs can be purchased separately for R28.00 per half dozen.
Busy Lizzy's Petals Nursery
Find a variety of indigenous and ornamental plants, ranging from shrubs to trees, perfect for a personal garden or home.
All plants are potted, and trees include fruit and ornamental trees.
